Groundswell, an activist organization that enacts change in its respective communities through art, has partnered with young men of color from the Brownsville neighborhood to present Transform/Restore:Brownsville. This two year initiative provides youth and young adults from the community to engage in bettering their neighborhood by creating murals in previously deserted areas of the neighborhood. The latest mural to be unveiled focuses on the impact of the prison industrial complex (PIC) on communities of color.
